Please note these important job considerations:
Willing to leading weekly DBT skills groups (training available)
Interested in a strong DBT component in clinical work
Comfortable working with clients navigating Borderline Personality Disorder and suicidal ideation
Available to see clients in person at least 1 day per week in East LA
Open to supporting marketing and admin tasks, including things like blog writing and networking
Comfortable with a gradual build toward a full client caseload
Overview:
Sagebrush Psychotherapy is a psychotherapy private practice that provides virtual and in person appointments in Los Angeles, CA. Offices are located on the Eastside of LA.
The practice dedicates itself to providing services for clients that struggle with Borderline Personality Disorder, anxiety, suicidality, self harm, and trauma. Clientele is not limited to these populations. The practice values are honesty, openness, curiosity, acceptance, and providing treatment that changes the lives of the clients.
We provide individual therapy primarily to adults and run multiple DBT skills groups throughout the week.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Individual and Group client hours (estimated 15 hours/week)
Completing all sessions in accordance with BBS, legal, ethical requirements.
Leading DBT skills sessions.
Providing individual, couples, and family therapy.
Administrative tasks (estimated 1-6 hours/week)
Example tasks:
Completing all notes for sessions in accordance with practice policies.
Responding to all client communications.
Completing 15 minute intake calls for potential new clients and responding to potential client inquiries.
Completing any client letters.
Reviewing intake paperwork and psychological surveys.
Marketing: Assisting and creating blogs and vlogs, therapist directory profiles, assisting with networking, etc.
Other.
Observation and Shadowing (estimated 1.5-3 hours per week)
Observing group sessions with Ciara to learn DBT and other therapeutic interventions.
Supervision (estimated 1-2 hours/week)
Attending weekly supervision in accordance with BBS and legal requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Must have a current Board of Behavioral Sciences CA license or Associate number to practice
Preferred Qualifications:
Training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy
