I am an empathetic therapist who believes in approaching the therapeutic relationship as an equal. My work is deeply rooted in dismantling systems of oppression and seeking liberation through life’s darkest moments. My goal is for clients to experience therapy as a collaborative effort towards relieving emotional suffering.  I treat clients who have survived complex trauma, feel large emotions, and need a chance to be seen.

Years ago, as a transgender teenager in the American South, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy offered me a chance at life on my own terms. Consequently, I find particular meaning in working with adolescents and young adults who struggle with symptoms related to trauma. I have worked at the residential, partial hospital/intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of mental health care and within programs specialized to the treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder and eating disorders.
